This is news we don’t have every day: we are looking for a new member of our team! So if you enjoy working with IATI and would love to do that all the time, please read on.

The IATI team in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a small team of three people, hopefully soon to be four. You may have been in contact with Pelle or Thea in the past. They support the Ministry’s implementing partners through the Helpdesk Open Data. They do this by developing webinars, hosting question hours, answering emails and writing articles on this website. There is also Herman, who deals with a lot of the more technical work, like maintaining our IATI database. All three of us also work on answering questions from parliament (‘Kamervragen’), building dashboards on IATI data, and training our own colleagues in the ministry in working with the IATI data.

We are looking for a fourth person because the work load is growing. More and more of our partners have found the way to the Helpdesk Open Data, and the ways we support them have become more time-intensive. We will, for example, develop an e-learning module which will replace our webinars and make our material available for self-paced training. We are also rewriting our Publishing Guidelines to make them easier to use. Our new colleague will most likely be involved in both projects.
