Most activities you publish, will have documents linked to the activity. These may be project plans, midterm reviews, or any other documents that the ministry has asked you to produce and publish, or that you have produced on your own accord. But have you made sure that everyone can access them?

Anyone interested in your activity, should be able to open the documents and read them. An interested audience is, as you may have read, the Dutch parliament.

If you use Aidstream, this will most likely not be a problem, because Aidstream already makes sure the document you upload through its system, is open to everyone. However, if you use spaces like Google Docs, please make sure that the setting is such that the document is readable by everyone, everywhere.

Of course, be mindful of sensitive data. But if you publish documents, don’t hide them behind a login.
