To be IATI compliant, implementing partners of MinBuZa will have to publish reports quarterly. Does this mean that the reporting obligations are now set to quarterly?
No. For each activity in his portfolio, a policy officer working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will have to assess the progress on results only once a year (twice a year in case of increased risk). Usually this is done when the financial progress report is available, as financial progress and progress on results should be looked at simultaneously.
However, due to the fact that updates for IATI files will be published more frequently, implementing partners as well as policy officers will be able to review progress of activities also at other moments of the year.
Policy officers will be able to monitor if an implementing partner is updating its IATI file in time.
